Crown Football Round-Up (24/01/2020)
The goals have been flowing for plenty of Crown Football clients.
Max Sheaf scored in Cheltenham Town's 3-1 win over Walsall last weekend, adding his second goal in as many games. Max's goal came about through a similar move to the opening goal against the Latics the week before, although this time Chris Hussey was the supplier from the left/ The left wing back pulled it back into the path of Max who applied a measured finish to put his side in front. Watch the goal below:
Sam Gallagher also scored in Blackburn Rovers' massive 5-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship. Coming up to full-time Rovers were 4-0 up, but there was still time to add another. Latching onto a threaded pass from Rankin-Costello, Sam connected with a strike that flew past Dawson and into the roof of the net.
Stephy Mavididi added 2 goals to his tally when he scored for FCO Dijon in their French Cup match against Nimes. Stephy struck twice as Dijon fired four goals in the last 15 minutes of their all-Ligue 1 French Cup clash to cruise to a 5-0 win and a place in the last 16.
Matt Jay also scored a brace for Exeter City in their Leasing.com Trophy match against Stevenage. They are now through to the semi finals after a convincing 3-0 win. It wasn’t long before City were in full control of proceedings, doubling their lead before the half hour was up. Randall did all the hard work as he found space in the area, before he found Jay in close proximity. He took a touch before coolly slotting home the second. The Grecians took just over two minutes in the second half to put the game to bed. It was Matt again who found the back of the net. In a slick passing move it was Ajose who set the strike up with an audacious back heel right through the heart of the defence, allowing Jay to fire home.
