Crown Football Round-Up
Nottingham Forest and 10-man Derby took a point apiece from an entertaining but goalless East Midlands derby. Forest keeper Costel Pantilimon's double save from David Nugent and Tom Lawrence was the closest either side came to scoring at the City Ground. Forest, who extend their unbeaten run to six games, can give thanks to Danny Fox for his ‘Man of the Match’ performance. Check out his stats below:

Yeovil Town’s Corey Whelan has picked up the 'Checkatrade Player of the Round' award for his outstanding performance against Fleetwood Town in the Quarter-Final of the Checkatrade Trophy. On just his second start for the club, the 20-year-old Irish right-back gave an accomplished performance in defence. He also broke forward, cutting inside brilliantly to score his first senior goal with his weaker left foot in Yeovil’s dramatic 3-2 win. “Obviously I’m really pleased to pick up this award and now the most important thing is making the final at Wembley,” said Whelan. "We’ve faced some really tough teams in the competition so far and personally, for me to play in it twice and score my first goal was really nice. You might only get one chance to play at Wembley in your career so that’s a real incentive to get through to the final."
Adam Lewis dedicated his Kop-end wonder goal to his watching family on Friday night. The 18-year-old put Liverpool U23s ahead in their Premier League 2 clash against Manchester United with a memorable free-kick at Anfield. From the right side of the penalty area, Lewis curled a shot over the head of the goalkeeper and off the left post to find the net in stunning – and fully intended – fashion.
“Of course I did!” the defender said when asked if he meant the goal. “I looked at the ‘keeper. Before the game, the goalie coach said the ‘keeper stands off his line'.
It was a dream come true. All my family were here – that was for them. It was something I have dreamed of since I was a kid watching games and seeing Stevie Gerrard whip balls in like that. That’s how I’ve learned and obviously it went in.”
Adam has also been included in the England U19s squad for the first time! The Young Lions face opposition from Hungary (1pm, 21 March), Latvia (1pm, 24 March) and Macedonia (1pm, 27 March) in Skopje as they bid to seal a place in the Euro Finals in Finland this summer.
